The Palms Restaurant & Bar was born from a dream shared by two friends who longed to bring the soul of Africa to the Washington DC metro area.
Not just the food, but the rhythm, the laughter, the energy - the feeling of home.

Under the shade of a palm tree, they imagined a place where authentic African recipes would dance with modern flavors, where the spices of Lagos could mingle with the melodies of Accra, and where every plate would carry a story from the continent. That dream came alive on October 4th, 2025, when The Palms opened its doors to the DMV.

Here, food is never just food. It's grilled suya kissed by fire, smoky jollof rice that sings with every bite, and rich egusi that comforts the soul. It's the taste of heritage, lovingly reimagined for today. But just as important, it's the soundtrack - Afrobeat drums, soulful highlife, amapiano rhythms - weaving through the room and lifting every spirit.
